Float On - Modest Mouse

First of all I want to make sure that everyone is keeping well & keeping safe. As a large community & as a total Universe we are going through a lot, it's moments like these that remind us its things like family (face-timing family), laughter, music, chocolate, positivity & mostly perseverance that will get us through all this.

I look at the timing & I'm glad to be home in Australia, as literally a week or two after we arrived home from Mexico, Mexico have recently stopped people travelling in & out internationally. Although a lot of people are isolating themselves at home, with my job I'm still having to travel to & from work so I've been doing everything in my power to rest, recharge & stay healthy. Anxiousness & nervousness won't get us anywhere so this week I've got a song of perseverance!

I've been a fan of Modest Mouse since I was in my teens, but every time I hear this specific song everything just lights up.

I hope you like it as much as I do!

Float On was released in 2014 by American Rock Band Modest Mouse as a lead single on their 4th Album "Good News For People Who Love Bad News". Originally this song was also written in order to provide light to people going through bad times & politic strife within the world. Float On is a cheery reminder that through everything we will get through all of this.

Modest Mouse formed in 1992 as lead singer/guitarist Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green & bassist Eric Judy. In total across the years they have 6 Albums, their last one called "Strangers To Ourselves" which rolled out in 2015.

There has been hint last year of a follow up album, which is currently in the works, as a few teaser singles early last year such as "Poison The Well", "I'm Still Here" & the latest in November last year "Ice-cream Party".

They've got a splendid variety of songs, when you find the time between other things you should definitely check them out!

Keep strong, keep positive & I hope you all have a fabulous week!

Cheers

Amy
