Randy (Boys Noize Remix) - Justice

Can't believe we are now in the month of August! This year has just been flying by & if I look back on the year so far it's definately been one of my busiest but probably the most eventful. I guess thinking about it now I wouldn't have it really any other way - It's nice to be busy!

Luckily now as the weeks past by, I'm also bit by bit getting more organised. You know that feeling when you set yourself a to do list & you actually start to tick things off of it? It's been a couple of months overdue but its absolutely therapeutic. I'm a total list maker & there is nothing I enjoy more than crossing off a completed task.

Over the past week I finally sorted through all my CDs & also went through my music playlist on my laptop. I was able to get rid of a few CDs & even duplicate tracks in my playlist! I'm also finally getting the chance to listen to all my new music & I've really been enjoying listening to Amy Shark, Nick Cave's classic, Husky & Kaleo to name a few. I've also been listening to my original playlist such as Gang of Youths, Julia Jacklin & King Krule.

Last week there was also the 11th Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) Awards in Adelaide & I read that A.B Original absolutely cleaned up. Taking home a total of five awards! (Breakthrough Independent Artist Of The Year, Best Independent Hip Hop Album "Reclaim Australia", Best Independent Single "January 26 feat. Dan Sultan", Best Independent Artist & Best Independent Album or EP "Reclaim Australia". Julia Jacklin also received an award for Best Independent Blues & Roots Album "Don't Let The Kids Win". It's great to see Australian artists doing well in the music industry!

I'm also starting to get excited about seeing Angus & Julia Stone late September (Literally a month & a half to go!) & till then their latest album won't be released till the 15th September a few weeks before. As for my last gig my ears are still ringing from Queens of the Stone Age from the week before last!

Well this week's track is off an album I recently purchased a good few weeks ago, its a track from a record label I've followed since 2006. It's going to get real dancey right about now, so put on your dancing shoes & check it out below:

ED Banger records with this compilation in April this year as they are celebrating their 100th release & I love still how after nearly over a decades of tracks that they are still true to their sound. I remember thinking when I was in high school just how edgy, cool & French this label was. I just feel that when its comes to electro, dance & electronica that the French completely get it. Signing artists such as Justice, SebAstian, DJ Medhi, SoMe, Uffie, Feadz, Mr Oizo, Boston Bun & Beni. This label itself is how electro should sound, no flops, no drops, no confetti & no crazy EDM. Just a good solid dance beat that you never want to end & you feel it all just thump out of your chest.

This track literally transforms me back to 2006/2007 when I was starting to become a huge fan of electro & electronica (also when I first was allowed out clubbing!) Justice & Boys Noize are just truly amazing & it's great to hear that they are still producing quality tracks.

Hope you love this as much as I do!

Cheers

Amy
