Space - Dizzee Rascal

So I'm finally on the other side of exam period & what a great feeling it is to be here! Glad to have it over & done with at the beginning of the exam period too. Basically all the way up until the night before I looked through my abundance of notes, went in, did my best, the 3 hours went quite fast & now all I can hope for is that I get a good pass & my letter to graduate! As soon as I walked out of the stadium all of the emotions left me, a mix of relief & quite a few happy tears as well. Luckily I had Simon meet me after the exam, so I got a massive hug & then we spent the afternoon gallivanting at the Sydney Fish Markets with also a couple of glasses of well needed wine!

My cousin & her boyfriend have also arrived as of last Wednesday from Scotland & since then it's just been a mixture of work, Vivid, cocktails, rugby, pies & tomato sauce, cocktails, slightly earlier nights, cocktails & the coastal walk. Still settling after the exam being over, I think it's going to take a good couple of weeks to settle into a less hectic routine & to realise that it is in fact all done. The best part of it at the moment is no need to come home & do a couple hours of study, now I can plant myself on the couch or go out & enjoy the fresh air!

With just how hectic this last week has been, I'm still yet to go to the shops (I actually feel like I might even be getting the flu!) but I'm sure before the end of this week, I''ll have more opportunities to have a look around & get new music.

This week's track literally only dropped a few days ago, but is already becoming a fast favourite of mine. I've been really digging it as it reminds me of how I feel now that uni is all done, I've got the fight in me & I'm determined to graduate & get my free time back! This track is totally badass, wrap your eyes & ears around it below:

Dylan Kwabena Mills, better known by his stage name Dizzee Rascal, is an English recording artist, MC & record producer. A pioneer of grime music, his work has also incorporated elements of UK garage, bassline, British hip hop, and R&B. I've been quite a fan of Dizzee Rascal since his "Boy In Da Corner" CD was borrowed to me during high school. Over the years he has produced some classic & jumping tracks. A few of my favourites over the years has been "Jus a Rascal", "Fix Up Look Sharp", "Holiday", "Dance Wiv Me", "Bonkers" & "Flex".

I was actually lucky to see Dizzee Rascal in Sydney when he was at Future Music Festival in 2013, & what a show that was. Everyone at the time went absolutely mental to his song "Bonkers".

"Space" literally only dropped a few days ago, & within the past 24 hours he has announced a new album "Raskit" which will be his first full album in about 4 years which will release in July this year.

"Space" is the debut single from Raskit & what an absolute banger it is, I look forward to listening to the rest of the album which I will be purchasing in July 21st. Here's a tracklist for Raskit below:

01. ‘Focus’ 02. ‘Wot U Gonna Do’ 03. ‘Space’ 04. ‘I Ain’t Even Gonna Lie’ 05. ‘How Bad Do You Want It’ 06. ‘Make It Last’ 07. ‘Ghost’ 08. ‘Business Man’ 09. ‘Bop n Keep It Dippin’ 10. ‘She Knows What She Wants’ 11. ‘Dummy’ 12. ‘Everything Must Go’ 13. ‘Slow Your Roll’ 14. ‘Sicka Dis Shit’ 15. ‘Way I Am’ 16. ‘Man of the Hour’

Hope you like it as much as I do & all have a fantastic week!

Cheers

Amy
