Lay Down - Touch Sensitive

There are simple pleasures in life & music is one of them. Nothing better than when you are cooking or chilling than putting on a CD & letting the music just take you to another place. With my final exam looming & only just around the corner (this time next week!) my stress levels have definately heightened so music has been something lovely to turn to.

Also with absolute great timing in the past week, my cheer squad has gotten wider. My boyfriend got back from a good couple of weeks in Indonesia & my parents as of last night got back from their 2 month holiday. With just how crazy the past few months have felt there may have been a couple of tears, but now I feel like a huge weight has been taken off my shoulders & I've got more fight in me.

In the past week I've been listening to Dappled Cities, Gang of Youths, Julia Jacklin, Holy Holy, Franz Ferdinand, Madeon, Horrorshow & Vera Blue. My CD wishlist has definately grown over the past month as I've tried to avoid CD shopping.

But after next week I will finally get:

"Everything is Forgotten" - Methyl Ethel

"More Scared of You Than You Are of Me" - The Smith Street Band

"Rage 30" - Thirty Years of Rage

"Punchbuzz" - Husky

"Ministry of Sound - The Reunion 2005 x 2008" - Ministry of Sound

"ED Rec Volume 100" - ED Banger Records

"Night Thinker EP" - Amy Shark

"A/B" - Kaleo

Hopefully that's exactly what I will walk out of the shop with!

This week's track is full of synth goodness & was only released beginning of last week! This artist hasn't dropped a track in nearly four years but it's totally worth the wait! Wrap your ears around it below:

The genius behind "Touch Sensitive" is multi-instrumentalist & self confessed synth-freak Michael Di Francesco. I've been a fan of his work, since his days performing in Van She. One of my favourite tracks from Touch Sensitive is "Pizza Guy" released in 2013, this track is just simply groovy & funky. Amazingly it racked up millions of Sound Cloud & YouTube hits pushing it to 3rd most played track for the year of 2013 on Triple J (If you are keen to give it a listen you can so -> here )

Now nearly exactly 4 years later, Touch Sensitive has released another classic house track "Lay Down" that is definately worth keeping on your rotating playlist. In his time between tracks he's been touring with the "Future Classic" crew such as Flume, Chromeo & Flight Facilities so it's nice to have a new track for us all to get funky to.

The Pizza Guy is back & eventually after his US Tour later this year there will be a few slices leftover for Australian shows!

Hope that you all have a fabulously synth filled week!

Cheers

Amy
