With so much going on, it's still mad to believe how quickly the year is flying through. Actually I was having a similar discussion early last week & realised I've literally got 10 weeks left officially of uni work left to do, hearing that out loud it doesn't sound like much at all! With also the Illy concert around the corner (next Friday), as well as soon to be reveals of the Curve Ball concert & Splendour in the Grass festival lineups as I said its just mad to believe its almost that time of the year already!
With the Illy concert next Friday at the Enmore theatre, I've been listening to a lot of Illy lately; going all the way back to his first album. It's amazing just how through each of the albums you can hear how he has matured & shaped his style of Australian hip hop. As a listener who has followed him over the years it's going to be great to see him live again.
Between study & commuting to/from work I've also been spinning through various CDs of Horrorshow & "Paint" the latest album from Holy Holy. Which were both recent purchases before the uni semester truly kicked off. There are quite a few tracks on "Paint" that I'm enjoying such as Darwinism, True Lovers, Elevator, That Message & Amateurs. I'm such a sucker for dancey indie, but their whole album is in fact delicious. When you find something with a good beat that brings you such a good feeling you've found music that has reached within & to your soul. Which is truly why I love music so much, it's a language we all understand.

Now you may have guessed it already but this week's track has got to be one of my favourite tracks from Holy Holy's latest album "Paint". Put on your dancing shoes & give it a whirl below:
The duo of Oscar Dawson & Timothy Carroll also well known as "Holy Holy" are an indie band from Australia. Timothy Carroll based from Brisbane & Oscar Dawson based from Melbourne, they actually initially met as volunteer English teachers in Southeast Asia.
Their debut album "When the Storms Would Come" was released mid 2015 & in its success included shows with Vance Joy, The Preatures & Boy and Bear. They toured & played big rooms, small rooms, festivals & toured three times through Europe.
In 2016 they dropped their first single "Darwinism" early to mid last year hinting of a second anticipated album, then their second teasing single "Elevator" during their national tour late last year. This year their now highly anticipated second album "Paint" was finally released just under a month ago on the 24th February through Wonderlick Recordings.
It's totally worth the wait & has just the just amount of fun throughout, it's mellow enough to listen to in the comfort of your home or out in the sun/garden with friends.
Hope you enjoy the track as much as I do & have a fantastic week!
Cheers
Amy
