So you're probably wondering why my post is a little late this week but unfortunately life got in the way for me! You know that dreaded essay I mentioned about last week? Well it was the same essay that sat me up till 2am Monday morning! I know I'm an over thinker at the best of times & at my downfall most of my weekend was spent working on it - but it was submitted on time & what an effort it was!
Straight after work on Monday & as a routine treat yo self after an assessment is submitted, I paid a visit to the music shop & got me some new CDs! So just in time for Christmas I've purchased Tove Lo's "Lady Wood", Tkay Maidza's self titled "TKAY" & even felt a bit festive & purchased She & Him "Christmas Party" which is cute indie covers of all the Christmas classics. If you are a fan of Zooey Deschanel she is actually the "she" in She & Him. Well as soon as I got home from work Monday night I had no motivation to do anything at all, completely spent the night on the couch watching TV & playing on my phone - ahh bliss! But aside from that hands up who's feeling festive for Christmas! Can you actually believe Christmas is the end of next week?!
& what a weekend I picked to be working on an essay, there was too much awesome stuff musically happening! One of my favourite record labels Elefant Traks celebrated their 18th Birthday at Max Watts. The line up was of course amazing & they had tonnes of special guests - if you are interested you can check out a snapshot of the night here (& get serious FOMO): https://twitter.com/ElefantTraks/status/807591206754480128
To top it off on Sunday at Darling Harbour they unveiled their final renovations for Tumbalong Park with a free day to the public & a free concert FEATURING New Zealand darling KIMBRA. Lets just say I was "Well Jell" as I've never seen her perform live & its been a while since she has visited Australia. But luckily & lovingly my good friend Jasmine sung loudly for me & even sent me this photo below.

This week's track is an oldie but a goldie! Put on your dancing shoes & watch out it's pretty catchy! Wrap your eyes & ears around it below:
Future Islands is an American Synthpop band & "Seasons (Waiting on You)" is Future Islands opening track to their fourth studio album "Singles". The band is well known for their lead singers dance moves as well as catchy tracks & since I've got one last week before Christmas I have another chance to share an absolute banger before getting into the festive spirit. Here's a sample of what awesome dance moves they do!

Hope that you all have an amazingly groovy week, that you're all organised & get all your Christmas shopping done & remember you still have time to get on Santa's naughty list!
Cheers Amy
