Lullabies (Adventure Club Remix) - Yuna

Literally in a day or two it will be Spring & I've already got a Spring in my step! Yesterday I found out the result for an uni assessment & I scored myself a HD #superchuffed. Spring is just a little bit more exciting compared to other times of the year; for me it represents new beginnings, new goals, longer days, warmer nights & an overall brighter outlook. Then before we know it's Summer! Every year I give myself this goal, that by the time the weather warms up that I spend more time outside & make the most of soaking up the sun.

In the past week I finally got a chance to listen to Foster the People's "Supermodel" & Little May's "For The Company". There was definately a few tracks on each that I've heard before & didn't realise was actually them! From Supermodel I really really digged "Are You What You Want To Be?", "Coming of Age" & "Best Friend" & from For The Company I really digged "Cicadas", "Bow & Arrow" & "The Shine is Brighter At Night". Little May are truly an Australian trio with sounds similar to First Aid Kit, there are moments when I love music that's haunting & folksy like this.

I've also in the past week been listening to Alex Lahey, Tame Impala, Jack Johnson, Saskwatch & Thirsty Merc. Next weekend I see Flight Facilities at the Sydney Domain as they perform with the Symphony Orchestra. I'm trying to contain my excitement!

So as we shake off the winter blues, the sniffles & the coldness I'm ready to embrace the warmer months ahead. This week's track is an oldie but a goodie, probably one of the first tracks that really got me into Dubstep. Check it out below:

Yuna is a Malaysian singer-songwriter & she's been writing songs since she was 14. In the years of her success Yuna offered her music on her MySpace page, which went on to net over one million plays. This online success tipped off the Indie-Pop label/management company to her music, & in early 2011 she signed with Fader label.

Her song "Lullabies" has been remixed by Adventure Club who is a Canadian electronic dance duo composed of Christian Srigley & Leighton James. The first time I heard this song, I had complete & utter goosebumps. I hope you all like it!

Cheers Amy
