Peace Of Mind feat. Zoë Johnston - Above & Beyond

Can you believe it, but this week is the final full week of Summer & then next week we journey into Autumn. BUT we still won't let go of Summer just yet! The warmth will stay in our bones alot longer & that positivity will rolls on through us to keep us warm in the cooler months ahead.

Last week I finally sat my uni exam, it was 3 hours & after it was all over there was just this huge weight that rolled off my shoulders. Usually in the later part of the semester I let the stress get to me more than it should but its done & now I have the next few weeks to be more myself again. I've decided I'll be spending most of that time outside in the sun if I can! Enjoying life, going to bed early & finally catching up on all my TV & movies!

Last week as a "treat yo self" the day after my exam I bought a number of CDs; "Death Magic" by Health (previously blogged as the most versatile band of 2016 voted by me), runner up in the X-Factor eclectic Louise Adams self titled album & surprisingly not already in my collections "Adventure" by Madeon (one to watch in the French electro scene) & "We Are All We Need" by Above & Beyond (always goosebumps always)

One of my favourite things to do, is to connect through music. Music is a great way for me to express my passion & I use music as a way to reach out to others. People have been sending me songs & I really appreciate it; its just my favourite way to share! To have this passion, passion is a very exciting thing & its something that gets me out of bed everyday so thank you! Since I'm sounding all poetic & lovey dovey I'll roll into this week's track. Ever since I heard this song 5 months ago, I've been absolutely hook, line & sinker. You can listen to it below:

Above & Beyond we're never really a big artist that I followed, though I've spent numerous times at festival tents through the years branded under "Above & Beyond" & had many tracks similar to trance on my ipod. Trance was actually properly introduced to me, by one of my besties Dave & since then I've learnt to appreciate Trance more gently & with more patience.

Above & Beyond is an English progressive trance group consisting of members Jono Grant,Tony McGuinness, & Paavo Siljamäki. Formed in 2000, they are the owners of Anjunabeats & Anjunadeep, & also host a weekly radio show titled Group Therapy Radio. Late September last year I was given the opportunity to see a Group Therapy session live & in Sydney & it's true what they say "It will change your life". That night I understood that if there was anything I wanted to achieve its possible & that the world is truly a remarkable place, & that love will always be the answer no matter what. "Peace of Mind" features the vocals from Zoë Johnston & is a track from their recently released album "We Are All We Need" in 2015.

If you've ever lost every part of yourself

If you've left your heart on a lonely avenue

It will be only a matter of time

Before your life comes through for you

Everytime I listen to this track, I always have goosebumps & a stronger sense of self. Although the music video is sad, it's trying to tell you that no matter what happens in life, things have a way of working out. You have to trust in yourself, that with effort & persistence that it is you yourself who will make your life work out. Hope I given you some inspiration for the week & hope it's a grand one!

Cheers Amy
