Look Right Through (MK Remix) - Storm Queen

Now I'm not meaning to worry anyone here but give it one more day & there is a month to go till Christmas! I'm obviously not at that point yet where I'm panicking BUT a month doesn't seem too far away at all! Last week I was even lucky to get a headstart on some of my Christmas shopping (that's a first!) though the hardest part of Christmas shoppng is avoiding shopping for yourself (which is why you may have noticed the past few weeks no new cds have been bought! *wiggles eyebrows*)

As much as I love this time of year, I'm finding it alot harder to get into any kind of Christmas spirit (unless its mixed with egg nog!) Studying full time I get the week or two off during the holiday period, but before I even get an opportunity to enjoy the festivities I have assessments to complete first. Exciting news though! Once we reach Christmas I can relax a little; Christmas is at ours this year & for New Year I'm off to NZ with the fam bam for a week! (our first holiday together in ages) I feel already that these next few weeks are going to be stressful! But luckily for me to get through all those late nights I have my music to motivate me, keep me positive & keep me awake.

This week's track is inspired from a night out I had last Friday with work friends. During a good couple of drinks this track came on (Boy did I groove!) & for a while now I can say this has been my jam. Put on your dancing shoes as this song is super groovy!

"Look Right Through" is a song by American record producer Storm Queen (Morgan Geist) This track was his first debut single released in 2010 on Geist's own label Environ. In 2013 the vocal remix by MK (Marc Kinchen) of "Look Right Through" was released through Defected & Ministry of Sound & became hugely successful in the UK (Simultaneously entering the track at number one for both UK Singles Chart & UK Dance Chart)

I remember first hearing this track when my mate Shauna was visiting from the UK late 2013. Since hearing it then, its always been a track on my mind whether it's the clapping or a few lyrics here & there. I love how in the music video this pink panther-esque character goes around causing a flirtacious ruckass, dancing his way throughout the hotel oozing confidence. The song itself is super catchy & always finds a way in making me want to dance.

Cheers Amy
