One of my favourite things to do when listening to music is to dance. Whatever track comes on whether its techno, ballroom or hip hop I'm sure I could give whatever it is a crack. Most of the times even on the bus heading in & out of work I'm dancing on the spot in the aisle or in my seat! I'm drumming my fingers on my desk at work or whenever I can I'm shimmie-ing it up on a dancefloor somewhere. Music is just something universal that reaches into all of us & brings out pure happiness. I always feel wonderful especially in the mornings & afternoons to & from work that I listen to music throughout my commute; I don't know where I would be without my headphones!!
This week is all about dance and my love for dancing & expression, which is why I've chosen this week's song that you can wrap your ears & dancing shoes around.
Hermitude is an electronic duo that originated from the Blue Mountains in Sydney & are currently signed with Elefant Traks. "Speak of the Devil" was released in 2011 & has been a dance favourite of mine for years. Over the years I've tried to master some of the moves in this music video, as the video is just a whole lot of fun (try it yourself!)
I was lucky in 2012 to see Hermitude & the Elefant Traks crew for the Graphic Festival at the Opera House (putting their spin on Dr Seuss check it here) & in 2013 as part of the Come Together Festival at Luna Park. Hermitude also for "Speak of the Devil" won the 2011 J Award for Music Video of the Year & you can tell why, it's such a fun, interactive music video that instantly makes you want to jump up & join the crew!
Moral of this week; Keep dancing & don't ever stop doing what makes you happy! Cheers Amy
