To start this post on a positive I can happily announce that I got a Distinction in Consumer Behaviour for uni! *champagne pops* I practically fell out of my work chair last Tuesday morning when I saw the results; I finally checked after staring at the email for a good 10minutes. I'm proud as punch that another semester has been successfully knocked down & as lovely as my uni holidays were, this week I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things as I begin a new semester studying Leadership in Context & Financial Info Systems. (I'll leave it to you folks to decide which subject you think I'm dreading the most) In conclusion to my uni holidays, across the weekend I ensured I had more fun in the sun! Dolling up in Black & White for a jaunt to the races for Derby Day (Lady Luck was a little on my side!) & the second half trying my hand at Paddle Boarding for the first time & actually staying on the board! (Despite a sneaky gladiator style paddle push forcing me into the water :P)
To kick off the semester I thought this week's track should have a whole load of fun! So this week I introduce to you my absolute fun track. I know I get excited about almost every song I share but THIS TRACK is the perfect combo for a shimmie on the spot. Out of all the songs I've listened to, this song always gets me in a spin (You'll see what I did there) as it's probably the most awesomely fun music video I've ever ever watched. Check it out!
This song is always an upper & always contagiously putting a smile on my face. It's like the feeling you get when you've been dancing too hard & someone spins you round & round & your cheeks hurt from laughing cause your having the time of your life. Ridiculous dancing is always my favourite, whether it's spinning someone round or acting out lyrics through interpretive dance. Always great to muck around on the dancefloor.
The Jungle Giants are an Australian four-piece band, which formed in 2011 in Brisbane, Queensland & the band were signed by record label Create/Control. "She's a Riot" was released as a second EP in 2012 after the success of their first track in 2011 "Mr Polite" hurdled them into YouTube stardom (view here) I'm lucky to say that I've seen The Jungle Giants a few years back for Select Music's 7th Birthday (For $20 - I was able to see 6 or 7 bands across 3 venues; The Beresford, Oxford Arts & The Standard Bowl) In their music videos it's all fun & dancing & on stage they are equally as energetic. You can't help but not sway or tap your toes to their music.
When I think of Spring & Summer, there's a sense of feeling fun & free & this song gives you a chance to let your hair down a little.
Cheers Amy
